Comments & review
Citet has threaded comments anchored to source lines. Collaborators can leave feedback on specific parts of the document without switching to email or an external tool.
Opening the review panel
Comments live in the review panel. To see it, switch to the Review or Proofing view via the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K → Load view).

Adding a comment
In the review panel, click New thread. The thread is anchored to the line where the editor cursor is currently positioned. Type the comment body (up to 10,000 characters) and submit.
Comments appear in the panel sorted by their anchor position in the file. Clicking a thread in the panel scrolls the editor to its anchor line.
▶How anchors survive edits
Comment threads are anchored using Yjs relative positions — a CRDT-native reference that encodes a character's logical location in the document rather than an absolute line number. As text is inserted or deleted around the anchor, the position shifts correctly without any server reconciliation.
When the anchored character is deleted, the relative position resolves to the nearest surviving character. Threads whose anchor falls entirely in a deleted region remain visible in the panel but can no longer jump to a source line.
Replies
Any project member who can view the project can reply to an existing thread. Replies appear chronologically below the original comment. You can edit or delete your own replies at any time; owners can delete any comment.
Resolving threads
Click Resolve on a thread to mark it addressed. Resolved threads are hidden from the default panel view to keep the list focused on open feedback. Use the filter toggle in the panel header to show resolved threads — they remain in the history and can be reopened at any time.
Roles and permissions
All project roles (Owner, Editor, Viewer) can add comments and reply to threads. Viewers cannot edit the source but can participate fully in the review workflow. Owners can delete any comment; Editors and Viewers can only delete their own.
